Air Travel Tips

Book as far in advance as possible – With the current state of airline seat availability during these times and especially in the summer months it is imperative to book early to maximize your flight availability choices. We expect the same conditions to prevail for all travel periods. Fuel costs will remain high and there is no anticipated increase in airline capacity.

You have several tickets to choose from. View chart below to maximize your points for air travel!

When booking your own purchased tickets – Please remember an airline may change its prices and seat availability multiple times a day. It pays to regularly check flight and seat status(s). What may not be available the first time you search may become available several hours later. Online fares booked via the Internet are often less expensive than fares booked via a travel agent or toll free reservation service. Online booking saves each airline the costs associated with one on one booking environments. With online booking the consumer chooses to give up a travel professional’s advice and research for a less expensive fare when purchasing on the internet. Travel agencies and an airline’s own agents have no control over ticket availability.

If possible, travel during "off-peak" times - Monday through Thursday (mid-morning through early afternoon and evening hours).

Select seat assignments, if possible, when you book your travel – This will give you better seat selection options.

Check in early (Online) – Many airlines offer online check in up to 24 hours in advance of your flight. Early check in will result in fewer last minute hassles before your flight.

Arrive early to the airport – Arrive 60-90 minutes prior to a domestic flight and allow two hours for international flights. Expect travel conditions and service to vary from airport to airport

Check the weather – It’s a good idea to check with your airline before you go to the airport. Delays and cancellations are often the outcome from weather that may be far from your trip’s starting point.

Most importantly – Today’s travel experience is not as easy as it used to be, but if you know what to expect your travel experience can be pleasant.

"Enjoy your flight!!"
