Air Travel Redemption Rules and Conditions

  • All offers from travel services (operated by Program Administrator) are subject to the terms and conditions below, and other conditions specified herein. Consult your travel services representative for complete details.
  • Universal and Full Option Tickets may be booked online via www.scorecardrewards.com. Award ticket offers are available through travel services at 1-800-842-3006, Monday through Friday, 9 am – 9pm (Eastern Time), Saturday and Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm (Eastern Time). Travel services is closed January 1, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and December 25. All terms and conditions apply for tickets booked online.
  • Cardholders must have the required number of Bonus Points needed to order the award desired prior to award request.
  • Each airline ticket award may be ordered through travel services for one round trip coach class airline ticket on a single scheduled carrier. Tickets may be issued for travel to an applicable destination from any airport serviced by major airlines within the contiguous 48 United States except where noted.
  • All airline ticket awards issued in exchange for Bonus Points are non-refundable and non-changeable after ticket issuance.
  • Lost, stolen, or otherwise destroyed airline ticket awards will not be replaced.
  • All international airline ticket award eligible destinations under the ScoreCard rewards program are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Travel services acts solely as the sales agent for travel suppliers and is not liable for the actions or inactions of such suppliers.
  • Companion tickets purchased through the rewards program will incur a $22.50 per ticket processing fee.
  • An $8.00 delivery charge will apply to all tickets or documents sent via "express or trackable" type mail.
  • All Government imposed fees and airline imposed surcharges are the responsibility of the cardholder and must be collected at the time of booking.
  • Cardholder will be responsible for all Canadian government imposed tax and fees, airline imposed surcharges, security fees, and ticketing fees, which vary by destination.
  • All air travel companion ticket purchases will be awarded double Bonus Points when purchased using cardholder's rewards card at the same time as the redemption ticket is booked. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.
Universal Ticket Award – Coach Class Tickets

  • Travel reservations and ticketing must be made at least 30 days prior to cardholder's actual departure dates, but not more than 330 days in advance.
  • A Saturday night stay must be included in the travel itinerary.
  • Return travel must be initiated within 30 days of departure.
  • Reservations shall also be subject to advanced fare category award space and airline availability for 30-day advance booking, non-refundable type tickets for the travel dates specified.
  • No one-way, open jaw, open return, standby or stopover trips allowed.
  • Travel services reserves the right to choose the airline and routing on which to reserve and ticket cardholders.
  • A ticketing fee of up to $39 per ticket applies and will be collected at time of booking.
Universal All Inclusive Ticket Award – Coach Class Tickets

  • The Universal All Inclusive Award covers all government imposed fees, airline imposed surcharges, and ticketing fees with the points you redeem and is available within the 48 contiguous United States.
  • Travel reservations and ticketing must be made at least 21 days prior to cardholder’s actual departure date, but not more than 330 days in advance.
  • No one-way, open jaw, open return, standby or stopover trips allowed.
  • All other terms and conditions of the Universal Ticket Award apply.
Point Saver Award Tickets

  • The Point Saver Award is available for travel within the 48 contiguous United States.
  • The Point Saver Award is non-refundable and non-changeable and is subject to the same terms and conditions that apply to the Universal Ticket Award.
  • The cardholder will pay $200 in conjunction with points at the time of booking in addition to applicable security fees, ticketing fees, and fuel surcharges.
  • Travel reservations and ticketing must be made at least 30 days prior to cardholder’s actual departure date, but not more than 330 days in advance.
  • No one-way, open jaw, open return, standby or stopover trips allowed.
Everyday Award Tickets

  • The Everyday Award is available for travel within the 48 contiguous United States.
  • The Everyday Award will be offered on the next available coach ticket when there are no advance fare category tickets available.
  • The Everyday Award is subject to the same terms and conditions that apply to the Universal Ticket Award.
  • Travel reservations and ticketing must be made at least 30 days prior to cardholder’s actual departure date, but not more than 330 days in advance.
  • No one-way, open jaw, open return, standby or stopover trips allowed.
Universal Ticket Award - First Class and Business Class Ticket

  • First Class and Business Class Universal Tickets Require a $30 transaction fee which must be paid at the time of redemption.
  • Any ticket that costs over the maximum ticket purchase price will be paid by the cardholder at time of booking.
  • No one-way, open jaw, open return, standby or stopover trips allowed.
  • First Class and Business Class tickets must be reserved through the travel services center.
Full Option Ticket Award

  • The Full Option Ticket is available when a cardholder is unable to meet the requirements for the Universal Ticket award. This includes a request for a specific airline, open jaw, or travel dates, which do not include 30-day advance reservations or Saturday night stay.
  • The Full Option Ticket is subject to fares and terms and conditions of the airlines.
  • The Full Option Ticket requires a $25 fee which must be paid at time of redemption, and allows a credit toward any airline ticket available from any airline.
  • Any ticket that costs over the credit amount will be issued, however, the excess amount above the credit will be paid by the cardholder at the time of booking.
  • The Full Option Ticket is available online at www.scorecardrewards.com or through the travel services center.
Travel Documentation

  • Upon receipt of travel documents or confirming itinerary, please verify the travel dates, origination and destination cities and traveler’s names to ensure they are the same as shown on the valid proof of identification that will be displayed at the time of check-in.
  • For domestic travel, it is your responsibility to obtain and have possession of government-issued photo identification for all passengers 16 years of age or older.
  • For international travel, it is your responsibility to obtain and have possession of valid proof of citizenship or naturalization, vaccination certificates and/or visas before boarding an aircraft or entering another country. Other restrictions may apply.
Flight Reconfirmation, Airport Check-in, Baggage and Airline Overbooking

  • Flight times change frequently and without notice. Reconfirm your first flight, return or continuing flights directly with the airlines. Domestic flights should be reconfirmed 24 hours in advance and international flights should be reconfirmed 72 hours in advance. Times shown on the itinerary are from the current schedules and subject to change without notice.
  • Allow a minimum check-in time of 2 hours for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights.
  • Airline flights may be overbooked and there is a chance that a seat assignment will not be available on a flight for which a person has a confirmed reservation. If the flight is overbooked, no one will be denied a seat until airline personnel first ask for volunteers willing to give up their reservation in exchange for a payment of the airline’s choosing. If there are not enough volunteers, the airline will deny boarding to other persons in accordance with their particular boarding priority. With few exceptions, persons denied boarding involuntarily are entitled to compensation.
  • Card Sponsor and Program Administrator will not be liable for delays or cancellations caused by strikes, labor disputes, government actions, weather or any other causes beyond their control.
  • Industry regulations require passenger names on all checked baggage and strongly recommend names on all carry-on baggage.
  • In most instances, passengers will be limited to two (2) pieces of checked-in baggage and one (1) carry-on piece within the prescribed size and weight limitations. Contact the airline for the appropriate size and weight requirements. A charge may apply for checked-in baggage. Contact the airline for more information.
  • Card Sponsor and Program Administrator are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed baggage or contents of baggage.

Cruise Award Terms and Conditions

  • Only one Dollars Off Cruise Award may be applied per cabin booked.
  • Minimum cruise price required is per cabin.
  • Cruise Dollars Off Award point values are valid through 4-30-2010, for travel anytime.
  • A $25 redemption fee applies per award.
  • Port charges, government taxes and fees (which consist of all taxes and fees imposed by U.S. and foreign governmental and quasi-governmental authorities, including without limitation U.S. Customs and Immigration fees, ship passengers international departure tax, airport passenger facility charge, flight segment fees, and international arrival and departure taxes), airfare, transfers, shore excursions, medical services, items of a personal nature (such as gratuities, some beverages, certain specialty restaurants, gift shop purchases, gambling, beauty salon/barber shop/spa services, laundry, photographs, email, internet and fax, etc.) are the responsibility of the cardholder.
  • Cruises are non-refundable, non-cancelable and non-transferable. Once redeemed, Bonus Points may not be added back to your rewards account. Any change may result in assessment of a change fee by hotels/resorts or travel suppliers as applicable.
  • Please check with travel services (operated by the Program Administrator) for any documentation requirements or other restrictions associated with cruises. It is the guest's responsibility to obtain appropriate documentation, visas, and passports.
  • Cardholder is responsible for an $8 delivery charge if overnight delivery of documents is requested. Card Sponsor and Program Administrator maintain no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets or documents.
  • Card Sponsor and Program Administrator will not be liable for delays or cancellations caused by strike, labor disputes, mechanical difficulties, government actions, weather, or any other cause beyond reasonable control.
  • Neither Card Sponsor nor Program Administrator is responsible for the cruise lines' adherence to their published arrival and departure times for any ports of call or itinerary changes.
  • Double Bonus Points will be awarded on the purchased portion of cruise packages when paid with cardholder’s rewards card. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.
  • Card Sponsor and Program Administrator are not responsible or liable for personal injury or property damage arising from the selection of any mode of transportation, accommodation, excursion or activity.
  • Terms are void where prohibited by law.
Vacation Package and Experience Vacations Award Terms & Conditions

  • Only one Dollars Off Vacation Award may be applied per Vacation Package reservation.
  • The minimum Vacation Package price excludes taxes and fees.
  • Vacation Dollars Off Awards point values are valid through 4-30-2010, for travel anytime.
  • "Vacation Packages" and "Experience Vacations" are for one or two people sharing one room depending on the Award and may be subject to limited availability.
  • Reservations must be made a minimum of 31 days in advance and may require a Saturday night stay.
  • Experiential Vacation Awards point values are valid for travel through 04-30-2010 unless otherwise indicated.
  • During peak holiday travel periods, availability may be strictly limited due to supplier capacity. Package surcharges may apply per person during peak holiday travel periods. Other restrictions may apply.
  • Cardholders may purchase additional packages, hotel nights or rental cars via travel services (operated by the Program Administrator). Travel services will attempt to secure the best available companion rate at the time of booking. Child, single, triple and quad rates are available upon request.
  • Participating hotel locations are subject to change without notice.
  • Hotel vouchers may not be extended or used to pay for food, beverage, parking, service charges, other taxes, or any incidental expenses. Hotel vouchers are like cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Rental car vouchers exclude fuel, taxes, other surcharges, license and concession recoupment fees, airport fees, and any other optional items. Renter must meet standard driver, age, and credit requirements.
  • Vacation Packages and Experience Vacations do not include ground transportation (unless car rental is specified), hotel gratuities, hotel and room incidental costs, resort service fees if applicable, additional hotel rooms and, if applicable, any fuel surcharges that may be levied by an airline.
  • Cardholder is responsible for an $8 delivery charge if overnight delivery of documents is requested. Card Sponsor nor Program Administrator have any responsibility or liability for lost or stolen tickets or documents.
  • For Vacation Packages or Experience Vacations that include airfare, travel services reserves the right to choose the airline and routing on which to reserve and ticket cardholders.
  • Once reserved, a Vacation Package or Experience Vacation is non-refundable and any change may result in assessment of an airline change fee or any fee assessed by hotels/resorts or travel suppliers as applicable.
  • These Packages and Awards have no cash value.
  • Please check with travel services representatives for any documentation requirements or other restrictions associated with Vacation Packages or Experience Vacations. It is the guest's responsibility to obtain appropriate documentation, visas, and passports.
  • Neither Card Sponsor nor Program Administrator is responsible or liable for personal injury or property damage arising from the selection of any mode of transportation, accommodation, excursion or activity.
  • Terms void where prohibited by law.
Car/Hotel Certificates

Car Rental – Hertz® Car Rental

  • Free weekend days and weekly Award Vouchers are redeemable at participating Hertz corporate locations in the U.S., excluding Manhattan, New York, plus JFK, La Guardia and Newark airports. Additionally, weekend Award Vouchers are not redeemable in Reno, Nevada and the State of Florida. Hertz rate and rental conditions for the renting location apply and the car must be returned to that location.
  • Award Vouchers have no cash value and may not be redeemed in whole or part for cash. No change or credit will be given at the time of return.
  • Only one voucher may be used per rental.
  • Awards are only valid for the number of days and car class stated on the Awards Voucher.
  • No other Awards Voucher, program CDP#, coupon, discount or Tour Rate can be used in combination with the Awards Voucher.
  • Renter will not receive credit for Frequent Traveler points/miles when using the Awards Voucher.
  • Upgrades to higher car classes, additional hours/days, applicable mileage charges (if any), taxes, tax reimbursement, airport-related fees, vehicle licensing fees and optional service charges, such as refueling, are not included and are the responsibility of the renter.
  • Weekend rentals must be picked up from noon Thursday through noon Sunday and must be returned by 11:59pm Monday. Weekly rentals must include a full Saturday night keep. Minimum rental periods apply to Thursday/Friday weekend rentals.
  • Eligibility of the Awards Voucher will expire on the date shown, must be surrendered at the time of rental, may only be used by the person whose name appears on the voucher and is not transferable.
  • Usage of certificates is subject to availability and valid only at participating locations. Card Sponsor, Program Administrator and the contracted travel agency cannot guarantee availability of Award Voucher usage.
RENTER MUST MEET HERTZ CREDIT, DRIVER AND AGE (21) QUALIFICATIONS IN EFFECT AT THE TIME AND PLACE OF RENTAL.


Car Rental – National® Car Rental

Free Rental Days Certificates Terms and Conditions:

  • Valid for the rental of a compact through a fullsize 4-door car in the United States.
  • One certificate per National rental and void once redeemed.
  • Original certificate must be presented at counter upon arrival.
  • Free days are prorated against basic rate of entire rental period, which does not include taxes (including VLF taxes up to US $2.06 per day in California), governmentally-authorized or imposed surcharges, license and concession recoupment fees, airport and airport facility fees, fuel, additional driver fee, one-way rental charge or optional items.
  • Renter must meet standard age, driver and credit requirements.
  • Blackout dates may apply.
  • May not be combined with other coupons or certain other discounts or promotions.
  • Availability is limited.
  • Valid only at participating U.S. National locations.
  • Not valid in San Jose, California or Manhattan, New York.
  • No credit for unused days.
One Free Week Certificate Terms & Conditions:

  • Receive a free day for every consecutive rental day up to 7 days.
  • Weekly rental requires a 5-day minimum and a 28-day maximum keep.
Three Free Weekend Days Certificate Terms & Conditions:

  • Weekend rental requires a Saturday overnight keep.
  • Usage of certificates is subject to availability and valid only at participating locations. Card Sponsor, Program Administrator and the contracted travel agency cannot guarantee availability of certificate usage.
Hotel Certificates – Marriott®

  • Marriott Travel Awards: Worldwide Awards are valid at Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites and Renaissance Hotels and Resorts around the world. See below for locations.
  • Worldwide Awards may also be redeemed at Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, Spring Hill Suites, and TownePlace Suites hotels.
  • Meal Certificates cannot be used for value price meals or combined with other discounts and promotions. Present Meal Certificates at time of purchase.
  • Certificates are not redeemable for cash and are void and will not be honored if sold for cash or other consideration.
  • Certificates may not be exchanged or returned and are not replaceable if lost, stolen, destroyed or expired except where prohibited by law, and are void if altered, photocopied, or reproduced.
  • Tax liability, if any, including disclosures, connected with receipt or use of the award is the recipient's responsibility.
  • Terms are void to the extent prohibited by law.

Hotel Certificates – Hyatt®

  • Hyatt Stay Certificates are redeemable only at participating Hyatt locations worldwide.
  • Locations are subject to change without notice and acceptance varies by property.
  • Accommodations are subject to availability at time of reservation and blackout dates may apply due to seasonal periods or special events.
  • Valid for a standard guestroom, single or double occupancy, and may only be applied to the guestroom rate and associated taxes.
  • Certificates are valid for the number of nights indicated on the front of the certificate. Each Certificate is good for one continuous stay comprising consecutive nights at any one participating Hyatt.
  • Not redeemable for cash or other substitutions, not replaceable if lost, destroyed, stolen, or expired except where prohibited by law, and void if altered, photocopied, or reproduced.
  • Tax liability, if any, including disclosure, connected with receipt or use of the award is user's responsibility.
  • Certificates are void and will not be honored if sold for cash or other consideration.
  • The original certificate and identification will be required when you check in.
  • These certificates will not be extended beyond the expiration date except where prohibited by law.
  • Terms are void to the extent prohibited by law.
  • No credit will be issued for any certificate that is not fully used.
  • Not applicable for food, beverage, service, or incidental charges.
  • Gold Passport Points will not be given for the value of this certificate.
  • Reservations for your Hyatt stay must be made in advance by calling (800) 555-0233 in the U.S. or your nearest Worldwide Reservation Center. The certificate code must be provided when making reservations.
  • Normal arrival and departure restrictions apply. The availability of certificates at and travel from, certain destinations shall be subject to respective government approvals, regulations, restrictions and applicable taxes.
  • This certificate is not combinable with Upgrade certificates, other promotional certificates, group travel, tour packages, conventions, or special rate programs.
  • Hyatt reserves the right to request a form of security deposit in advance for expenses not covered by the certificate. Terms and conditions of the certificates are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA. Priority Pass – Please visit www.prioritypass.com for full Terms & Conditions

  • Entry into the Lounges is conditional upon presentation of a valid Priority Pass membership card, which will be sent to you as part of your membership package.
  • You agree to abide by the Conditions of Use as contained in the Lounge Directory. Lounge usage fees for your guest/guests and yourself, if applicable, are to be charged to the payment card indicated during the redemption and registration process at the prevailing rate.
  • Membership is subject to renewal on an annual basis through your rewards program.
  • Your membership is non-transferable and non-refundable. Bonus Points redeemed in exchange for membership are non-refundable. The card may not be used by any person other than the cardholder.
  • Priority Pass Memberships have no cash value.
  • Admittance to the lounges is conditional upon presentation of a valid Priority Pass card only. Payment cards will not be accepted as substitutes for the Priority Pass card.
  • All participating lounges are owned and operated by third party organizations. The member and accompanying guests must abide by the rules and policies of each participating lounge/club. Access may be restricted due to space constraints but this will be wholly at the discretion of each individual lounge operator.
  • The Priority Pass group of companies, Card Sponsor, and Program Administrator have no control over the facilities offered, the opening/closing times or the personnel employed by the lounges.
  • Participating lounges may reserve the right to enforce a maximum stay policy (usually 3-4 hours) to prevent overcrowding. This is at the discretion of the individual lounge operator who may impose a charge for extended stays.
  • Admittance to lounges is strictly subject to cardholders and any guests being in possession of a valid flight ticket for the same day of travel. Airline, airport and other travel industry employees traveling on reduced-rate tickets may not be eligible for access. Outside the US, flight tickets must be accompanied by a valid boarding pass for a departing flight, i.e. outbound passengers only.
  • Admittance to lounges is subject to members and any guests (including children) behaving and dressing (no shorts allowed outside of the USA) in an orderly and correct manner. The Priority Pass group of companies, Card Sponsor nor Program Administrator, are not liable for any loss suffered by the member and any guests where a lounge operator has refused admission because the member and/or guests have not complied with these conditions.
  • The Priority Pass group of companies, Card Sponsor, nor Program Administrator shall not be held responsible for any disputes that may occur between the cardholder and/or any guests and a lounge operator.
  • The Priority Pass group of companies reserves the right at any time at its absolute discretion and without notice to revoke membership in Priority Pass.
  • The member agrees that s/he will defend and indemnify the Priority Pass group of companies, its directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively 'the indemnified parties'), Card Sponsor, and Program Administrator against and hold each indemnified party harmless from all liabilities, damages, losses, claims, suits, judgments, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) for injury to or death of any person or damage to or destruction of any property arising out of the use of any lounge by the cardholder or any guests or any person in said lounge at the behest of the cardholder, except that such indemnification shall not extend to acts of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the indemnified parties.
